Monitor Audio Gold 100 6G Review
To say that I've been dreaming about this speaker is a bit of an understatement.
And I would like to think that I helped will this speaker into existence. A big 3-way Standmount Speaker from a company whose speakers have always impressed.
So how does the Dream sound? In a word, wonderful.
It's a big 3-way standmount speaker.
1 x Micro Pleated Diaphragm (MPD) III high-frequency transducer
1 x 3-inch mid-driver featuring HDT, C-CAM cone technology
1 x 8-inch bass driver featuring HDT, C-CAM cone technology
Around the back is a HiVe II Port with a Tuning Frequency of 38 Hz
Crossover Frequencies are 700 Hz and 2.6 kHz
Nominal Impedance is 4 Ohms, Sensitivity is 86.5 dB Recommended Amplifier Power is 130 – 500 W and it has an in-room Frequency Response of 32 Hz – 60 kHz.
It measures 17” H x 9” W x 14” D and weighs 30 lbs each. It’s available in a Macassar wood veneer, High-Gloss Black and Satin White. Individual driver ‘Magnetic grilles’ are included.
And they retails for $3999 a pair.
