Created by designer and lifelong music obsessive Taps Das, the studio began as a place to share a love of music and audio gear. But audio was always only part of the story.
Taps grew up immersed in music, art, DJ culture, and design before spending more than 20 years working in advertising and the creative industry. Those influences continue to shape 0102 Studio today, from the equipment we listen to and the records we collect, to the objects we live with, the art we make, and the food we cook.
At the heart of it all is an appreciation for craftsmanship and the people who make things well.
Great sound isn't an end in itself. It's part of a creative life. It's putting on a favourite record while drawing at your desk. It's discovering new music while cooking dinner. It's appreciating an amplifier's industrial design as much as how it sounds. It's recognizing the thought, craft, and personality behind the things that surround us.
